History of the great
In 1974, Co de Groot founded an agricultural contracting company in Leusden. Co professionalized his contracting business and grew rapidly. In 1977 he moved to our current address in Achterveld. From 1983, Co specialized in projects for the government, railroad managers and water boards. The agricultural branch was sold and De Groot Cultuuronderhoud & Aanneming built up a strong reputation.
In 2008, daughter Manon and son-in-law Henk Bakkenes took over the company. The company further specialized in maintenance along rail, road and water and since 2011 bears the name De Groot Achterveld.
